Maybelaine Hornilla is a graduate of the Nova Scotia Community College – Pictou Campus, where she completed her Diploma in Business Administration with Honours and was recognized as the 2025 Valedictorian. She is currently working with MacGillivray Injury and Insurance Law and East Avenue Dining, where she continues to develop her skills in communication, client service, and community engagement.

As the Marketing Coordinator for the Alma-Westville Community Program, Maybelaine is passionate about using creativity, storytelling, and community outreach to help connect people with meaningful programs and initiatives. She is dedicated to promoting awareness, encouraging engagement, and supporting efforts that strengthen and uplift the local community.

Maybelaine's passion for volunteerism began in the Philippines through her involvement in her parish youth ministry, where she mentored fellow youth and participated in various outreach and volunteer initiatives. Since moving to Canada, she has continued her commitment to community service by volunteering as a lector at Our Lady of Lourdes Church and with the New Glasgow Farmers Market.

Through her dedication, compassion, and enthusiasm for helping others, Maybelaine strives to create positive connections and contribute to the betterment of her community.
