14 vendors, one fire hall, and the start of something bigger

Before the Christmas Market, before the FUNDrive, there was one Saturday at the Alma Fire Hall. On July 26, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., AWCP hosted the Alma Community Market — presented by Scrub-A-Dub Soaps, in support of the Westville Library Pantry.

Admission was by donation: cash and non-perishable items welcome. 14 local vendors set up at 80 Alma Loop, Westville, and more than 100 attendees came through — raising $300+ worth of support for the community.

It was a small event by design: a chance to test the idea that Alma and Westville residents wanted a space to buy local, meet their neighbours, and support a growing community program. It worked — and it set the stage for the markets that followed.
